We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect your information. OAuth credentials for third-party integrations are encrypted at rest. No method of storage is completely secure.

Connected platforms (Webflow, HubSpot, WordPress)

You can connect Kennext to Webflow, HubSpot or WordPress so it can read your site and, when you approve a change, make it for you. Kennext reads a connected Webflow site only through Webflow's API. A site hosted on Webflow is scanned only after you connect it. Kennext does not scan a Webflow site from its public address, including through the free scan on kennext.ai. It reads HubSpot and WordPress sites through their APIs and your public pages.

What Kennext keeps from a scan, for as long as your account exists:

  • the addresses of the pages it scanned, and the scores;
  • for each issue it finds: the page address, the check, its priority, and the evidence and suggested fix, which can quote a short passage of the page. For a duplicate title or description, the title or description itself;
  • a written summary of the scan, and authority and traffic figures from Moz and, if you connected them, Google Search Console and Google Analytics;
  • the scan's report, summary and remediation tracker, as files.

While a scan runs, Kennext writes the text it read from your pages (titles, descriptions, headings and visible text) to working files on its scan server. Those files are deleted when the scan finishes, and at most 24 hours later. AI answers are cached for up to 7 days. Database backups are kept for 30 days.

For a connected platform, Kennext also keeps: the access credential, encrypted; the sites the connection covers and their addresses; for Webflow, the list of the site's pages (page ids and paths); and, for each change you approve, what was changed, the value before and after, who approved it and when, and the platform's reply. Image files used to write image descriptions are not kept.

Disconnecting:

  • Webflow: Kennext asks Webflow to revoke its access and deletes the stored credential. It keeps the record that the connection existed, the sites and addresses it covered, the site's page list, and your change history, so you can see and undo what was changed.
  • WordPress: Kennext deletes its application password on your site, deletes the stored credential and keeps your change history.
  • HubSpot: HubSpot has no way for Kennext to revoke a service key, so Kennext deletes its copy and asks you to delete the key in HubSpot. It keeps your change history.

AI providers and other services that process your site data

Kennext sends parts of your site to these services to analyze it and write fixes. None of them is given access to your platform account or asked to visit your site.

  • OpenAI (analysis during every scan): for up to 40 pages, the page address, SEO title and description, headings, button text, question-form lines, structured-data types and up to 1,200 characters of visible text; the list of page addresses; and per-page counts (links, depth, word count). When Kennext re-checks some fixes, up to 2,000 characters of that page's text. For the AI-visibility check (only when you run it), the business description you type and the questions written from it.
  • Anthropic (fixes and the scan report): when you ask Kennext to write a fix, the page address, SEO title and description, headings and up to 6,000 characters of visible text. For an image description, the image itself (on Webflow, Kennext sends the image file; on WordPress and HubSpot, it gives Anthropic the image's address). When you ask for fix instructions on one issue, the issue's name, page address and platform, and for a duplicate title or description, that title or description. For the scan report, your site's domain, the scan date, scores, issue counts and the scan's written summary (a few sentences produced by OpenAI, which can name pages); no page text.
  • Moz (authority figures, once per scan): your site's address, for example https://example.com/. Nothing else from your site.
  • Perplexity (only when you run the AI-visibility check): the questions written from your business description. Nothing from your site.

Other companies that process your site data for Kennext:

  • DigitalOcean: hosting, the database and its backups, and report storage.
  • Cloudflare: sits in front of app.kennext.ai and api.kennext.ai, so the dashboard's traffic passes through it.
  • Postmark: sends Kennext's emails to you. They include your site's address, scores and counts, and for a fix, the page address and the value before and after.
  • Google: only if you connect Search Console or Analytics. Kennext asks Google for your site's figures by your site's address or property.
  • Slack: only if you connect it. Messages include your site's address, scores, counts, and for a fix, the page and the setting changed.
